Head First EJB has been the best book to appear for SCBCD 1.3 exam, but that exam is no more valid. Today you don’t have any other option for appearing for SCBCD 5. Unfortunately there are no official books available which contains any guidelines or help to prepare for SCBCD 5.

O’Reily Media has announced there will not be any updates to Head First EJB book any time in near future.

In Such scenario only options available are to go through multiple books and appear for SCBCD 5 exam.
