I obtained scjp certification in Java5 with 83%. I would like to share the information regarding that for benefit of everyone else.
I followed Kathie and Bert Java 5 SCJP certification book and mock questions on examulator.com
Although the time duration of preparation varies based on how much time individual can devote, it took me 3 weeks time (5 hours daily) to be comfortable with course matter and I could give 5 mock exams.
Topics that I think that they needed more practice were Generics, combination of enums with inner classes and Auto-boxing and Auto-unboxing in combination with var-args when used in overloaded methods.

You test enginer was worthwhile!! I had only 2 days to appear for the SCJP1.2 and i practised the test engine. Got 35 correct out of 61. So failed by just 1 question. I found 1 question wrong in the Sun Exam. I have reported it to sun microsystems, but no reply yet. What cd be the posibilities? should i get a grace for 1 question. What does the Java community expect?
